The iPhone 7 has no headphone jack

Apple has confirmed that the iPhone 7 does not include a headphone jack. In its absence, owners will have to use Lightning or Bluetooth headphones, both of which will be more expensive than a pair that ends in the traditional 3.5mm connector.

Apple's first wireless chip is the new W1 for wireless AirPods

After months of rumors around Apple's plans for the headphone jack, the company revealed today that it is scrapping the 3.5mm port on its latest iPhone. Apple brings WatchOS 3 to your wrist on September 13th

You won't have to pick up Apple Watch Series 2 to see a tangible improvement to your wristwear -- Apple has revealed that its WatchOS 3 update will reach original Apple Watch models on September 13th. As promised, speed is the focus. The new WatchOS holds favorite apps in memory to shrink loading times, and the side button now gives you fast access to those faves instead of bringing up the (frankly, seldom used) contact wheel. And if you'll recall, this is just the start. There are quite a few interface and fitness tweaks that should make your first-run smartwatch feel fresh.

It’s four times as hard as stainless steel. Hermès is back with a new partnership. The Series 2 will come with new Hermès bands and colors. Apple is also introducing a Nike Apple Watch with a special band, custom watch faces and a fuel tracker. There are some motivation features to get you running.

Apple Pay comes to Japan in October

Making Apple Pay available in Japan involved Apple tweaking its technology to support the FeliCa mobile payment technology developed by Sony. This tap-and-pay contactless payment system is similar to NFC, which is currently used by Apple Pay and other contactless payment systems around the world. Besides its already wide acceptance in Japan, FeliCa's advantage over Apple Pay is said to be in speedy transaction time -- just 0.1 second, according to Sony -- because its transaction process isn't hobbled by required bank approval.

Sony PlayStation 4 Slim official: 30 percent smaller, arrives September 15 for $299

iPhone 7 Plus appeal: Apple just made its jumbo phone more irresistible

Apple has taken this two-pronged approach since the debut of its first large-size iPhone, the 6 Plus, in 2014. Apple iPhone 7 Plus: 10 reasons to pick the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 instead | ZDNet

Gorgeous design : This last reason is highly subjective, but I absolutely love what Samsung has done with these new Galaxy Note 7 phones with the metal edges, dual-curved edge screens, glass back, and glass front. The Apple iPhone 7 Plus is a nice piece of hardware as well, but it's a big phone, and I'm not sure I want something bigger than the Note 7 in my pocket. iPhone owners also tend to wrap their phones in a case, making the package even bigger.
