Sugar Bowl 2008Because the SEC champion will appear in the BCS National Championship Game, the number-five Georgia Bulldogs were selected to host the number-ten, WAC champion Hawaii Warriors, the last undefeated major college football team going into the bowl season.
The Warriors were only the third team not in any of the six BCS conferences to play in a BCS game.

Below is a list of the Sugar Bowl results. The first game was played in 1935 at Tulane Stadium before moving to the Superdome in 1975. This season will mark the first time the game is played outside of New Orleans (Atlanta). The title sponsor was Nokia (from 1995-2006), but is sponsored by Allstate, beginning this season.
